Pastor Wayman O. Mitchell, together with his wife Nelda Mitchell, founded The Potter’s House Christian Fellowship in 1970 in Prescott, Arizona. They took over a small, struggling church and saw it transformed during the Jesus Movement as young people from broken and rebellious backgrounds came to Christ. Pastor Mitchell’s bold emphasis on evangelism, discipleship, and training new believers for ministry helped the church multiply rapidly. Rather than waiting for perfect training, he trusted people early to reach others, which became a defining strength of the fellowship and fueled widespread growth.
What began as a local revival became a global church-planting movement known as Christian Fellowship Ministries (CFM)—a network of churches that go by names like The Potter’s House, The Door, and Victory Chapel. After Pastor Wayman Mitchell’s passing in 2020, his son Pastor Greg Mitchell continued the vision, serving as Senior Pastor of the original Prescott church and providing leadership for the worldwide fellowship, upholding the same focus on obedience to God and spreading the Gospel.
Today, The Potter’s House Christian Fellowship has planted around 4,000 churches worldwide, reaching communities in more than 130 nations and continuing the mission of evangelism and discipleship that began with one small church in Arizona.

Pastor Luis and Naomi Perez are the pioneering lead pastors of The Potter’s House Christian Fellowship GRA in Universal City, Texas. Since founding the church in 2006, they have faithfully led the congregation with a heart for discipleship, evangelism, and spiritual growth. Under their leadership, the church has become a hub for training and equipping new leaders, emphasizing the importance of raising Godly men and women who are prepared to serve and lead in ministry.
A hallmark of their leadership is their commitment to church planting. To date, Pastor Luis and Naomi have launched four pioneer works, expanding the reach of the GRA and bringing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to more communities. Beyond church planting, they are passionate about mentoring leaders, developing small groups, and creating programs that support families, youth, and the wider community.
Through their years of ministry, the Perez family has remained devoted to building a church that impacts lives, trains leaders, and spreads the Gospel locally and globally. Their vision continues to inspire and shape the next generation of ministers, leaving a lasting legacy of faithfulness and transformation.
